Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how I'm Blue, Lda. ("PodBy") processes your personal information when you use our website or hosting service (the "Services").

This document was written in English. The English text is the only version for which PodBy can be held accountable.

We collect little, and we do not sell your data. When we do process personal data, the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and other applicable data protection laws apply.

Purpose and legal basis for each processing

Account and sign-in. We process your email address to create your account and to send magic links. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.

Running your apps. We process the information needed to deploy and run what you host, including the git connection you authorize, environment variables, and application logs. This is necessary to perform our contract with you. We do not sell that data.

Payments. Payment information is processed to provide the service, to handle refunds, and for accounting. Processing for the service and for refunds is necessary to perform our contract with you. Processing for accounting is necessary to comply with legal obligations, including Portuguese accounting and tax law.

Support. Emails you send us are processed to answer you. This is based on our legitimate interest in helping you.

Categories of personal data

Account. We store your email address and the time the account was created. We email you a one-time sign-in link. We do not store a password.

Apps. If you connect a git host, we store the access you authorize so we can deploy. We store environment variables you set, and application logs, so we can run the app and show you those logs.

Payments (Adyen). When you pay, Adyen processes the payment. We store the transaction identifier and the transaction date so we can handle a refund within 14 days. See Adyen's privacy policy.

Support. If you email us, we keep your email address and the message so we can reply. We delete them when the matter is resolved.

How long is the personal data saved?

Account data. Kept while the account exists. When you delete the account, we delete the email address and the sign-in data.

App data. The git connection, environment variables, and application logs are kept while the app is on your account. They are deleted when you delete the app or the account.

Payment data. We keep the transaction identifier and date through the 14-day refund window. We may keep accounting records, not as part of your account, for as long as Portuguese law requires. After that, they are deleted.

Support. Messages and contact details are deleted when the request is resolved.

Third-party recipients

We share personal data with third parties that perform services for us, for the purposes above. Those recipients include Adyen, for payments, and infrastructure providers that run the service in the EU. They are bound by contract and confidentiality.

If you connect a git host (for example GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, or SourceHut), that host processes your repository under its own terms. We receive the access you authorize.

Legal disclosure. We may share data when the law requires it: to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a government request; to enforce our Terms; to detect or address fraud, security, or technical problems; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PodBy, our users, or the public, as required or permitted by law.

Is any transfer made to a third country?

We store and process your PodBy account data in the EU/EEA. A git host you choose to connect may process repository data in other countries, under that host's own terms.

Automated decision making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that has legal or similarly significant effects.

Rights of individuals

You have the right, in certain situations, to request correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, and (where applicable) data portability. Where the legal basis is legitimate interest, you may object at any time. You may also request a copy of your personal data.

Deleting account or payment data can limit what we can do for you, including refunds. We may refuse a request where the law requires us to keep the data, or where another lawful basis applies.

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Portugal, that is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt. To exercise your rights, email help@podby.com.
